Michael Moore is the Chef Proprietor of the wonderfully intimate Michael Moore Restaurant on Blandford Street in Łber-cool Marylebone. The restaurant boasts an adventurous and cultured menu, reflecting the local ingredients and national tastes Michael experienced during his extensive travels across the globe.

Classically trained and driven by the desire to taste and experience as many different foods as possible, he has worked and traveled the world for 15 years, moving from continent to continent.

His first big break in the kitchen in 1984 was as a Chef de Partie at The Savoy under the watchful eye of Anton Edelman. He then took up his first position abroad, at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten, in Hamburg, Germany, at the time Europeís No.1 Hotel and No. 3 in the World according to Institutional Investor.

From Germany Michael ventured further afield into Switzerland and Canada, working with even more interesting ingredients and above all different cultures.

Michael returned to Britain for the pre-opening of the Dorchester in 1990 where he spent a further three years before heading off to the exotic climes of Barbados as an Executive Chef at the luxury Island Inn Resort in St. Michael.

This experience gave birth to some of Michaelís more adventurous dishes, which became even more creative with his next move to the exclusive Soneva Fushi Resort in the Maldives in 1996, via a 2 year stint at Berlinís Intercontinental Hotel, where he launched the LA Cafť, a modern Californian concept in 1994.

He was lured away from a life of sunshine in the Maldives to oversee the opening of the Circle Bar and Restaurant in Docklands in 1997, one of Londonís most fashionable restaurants at the time before taking residence as Executive Group Chef for Simpsonís of Cornhill, where he was in charge of 14 restaurants.

Michaelís relaxed and colourful personality have also taken him onto the big screen, where he first featured in a series of German cooking shows followed by his UK debut on Gloria Hunnifordís Open House, where he soon became a regular.

He now features regularly on the BBCs Saturday kitchen and UKTVs Good Food live and recently had his own mini series on UKTV called Snack Attacks. A keen Arsenal supporter, he has also delighted the Arsenal VIP lounge with his culinary skills during selected matches.

Opening his own restaurant in Marylebone in 2001, was a dream come true. The unusual, eclectic menu combined with Michaelís distinctive style and excellent presentation skills have ensured that Michael Moore has fast become Maryleboneís most popular restaurant with a loyal following from all over London.

In addition to the regularly changing a la carte menu, Michael Moore also offers a set menu from Monday to Wednesday, where you can experience his global cuisine at an exceptional value.

Michael spends most of his time in the kitchen doing what he does best, creating mouth-watering dishes that are completely unique to him and his cosmopolitan experiences. When he does however get a spare moment to unwind he likes to chill out at Ronnie Scottís, listening to some cool jazz or going for some retail therapy in the unique and independent shops in and around Marylebone Village.
