The Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko is “seriously ill” and he has not been seen in public since the 9 May when he visited Moscow for the Victory Day parade.
The exiled opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya has said that Belarus “should be well prepared for every scenario” as he failed to attend the Flag Day ceremony on Sunday.
The rumour mill is rife and the internet is full of suggestion which has led to some “asking” if The Belarusian President is “already dead.”
Ben Aris, editor-in-chief of bneIntellNews, who is an expert on the former Soviet Union, wrote, “The Belarus strongman is clearly seriously ill and some are asking if he is already dead.”

Konstantin Zatulin, First Deputy Head of the Russian State Duma Committee for CIS Affairs, said, “Alexander Lukashenko is ill, so he does not appear in public.”
Zatulin confirmed to Sky News, “The fact that he was sick was obvious even during the parade in Moscow.
“I know that he is ill but I am not authorised to distribute his diagnosis.”
Exiled opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya tweeted, “There are many rumours about the dictator Lukashenka’s health.
“For us, it means only one thing: we should be well prepared for every scenario. To turn Belarus on the path to democracy & to prevent Russia from interfering.
“We need the international community to be proactive & hasty.”
Alexander Nikolaenko, a social media user based in Ukraine, tweeted, “Two sources in Minsk immediately confirmed to us that Lukashenko is in a very sinful condition and no one can understand what is happening to him.
“Until recently, his health did not cause any concern.
“On the contrary, Lukashenko himself was proud that he was healthy, like a bull, and led an active lifestyle. He regularly underwent medical examinations, so he could not gain advanced oncology or severe heart problems.”
